JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title:Product Specialist
Reports to:Product Manager /Sales Manager
Business Unit/ Department:Medlab 

 

JOB PURPOSE: 
Strategically plan the production, marketing and sales of the product and interact with customers to achieve sales target and ensure profitability and continued growth of the product in line with overall company direction. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Performance Indicators

  1. Achieve the sales Target in the assigned product lines.
  • % Achievement of Gross Profit Target  
  1. Proper contact and relationship management with principal co. and representatives to ensure proper interactions and field visits.
  • Number of completed sales support activities
  1. Frequent visit and coverage of all potential to existing customers to ensure high customer satisfaction and repeated business from the accounts.
  • Customer Feedback
  • Sales accrued due Business visits 

 

  1. Relationship management with key customer account and inducer in order to increase Market Share.
  • % Increase of market share 
  1. Efficient execution and delivery of purchase order in order to meet customer expectations to ensure proper ordering and configuration of purchase orders.
  • % Accuracy of Purchase orders.
  1. Give Monthly feedback on required product stock and monitor expiries to maintain proper stock.
  • % Accuracy of feedback on required Product Stock.
  •  % Accuracy of Stock Expiry reports 
  1. Ensure and maximize the full usage of all available sales tools likes demo units, PowerPoint presentations, samples, product data sheet and formal presentational workshops.
  • Proper and timely usage of available sales tools 

 

  1. Timely and accurate response for all quotation requests and tenders for getting on time business
  • Timely response of quotations & Tenders 
  1. Communication with the customer to follow-up with payments and to extend his support in the collection process as and when required.
  • Quality of support 
  1. Expected to actively participate in the business development process, continuous review of the end-user prices and cost prices based on the market dynamics and trends
  • Timely review 

 

  1. Responsible for new accounts & Introduction & implementation of new products.
  • No: of new products implemented

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION 

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or Medical Technology or Equivalent Experience.

Minimum Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES 

Job Specific: Listening Skills, Negotiation Skills, Cross Selling Skills, Analytical ability, Leadership Skills, Service Orientation, Basic Computer Skills including MS Office.

Internal Relationships: MEDLAB Staff, Warehouse, Accounts, HR and AKI business units as required.

External Relationships: Customers and Suppliers
