QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role involves the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the construction lifecycle. The QA/QC Engineer collaborates closely with project teams to identify quality issues, conduct inspections, and ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the required standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Infrastructure, Architectural, Structural and Landscaping discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.
- Develop method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
- Cary out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
- Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report.
- Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.
- Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and Site Observation, SOR.
- Implement the QA/QC management system at site.
- Conduct testing within the required specification and to monitor frequency of testing.
- Conduct snagging and DE Snagging including preparation & submission of O&M (operation and Maintenance)
- Submission of monthly QA/QC reports Internal/External.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:
- Minimum Qualification: bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction industry
- Must be willing to attend meetings out with normal working hours to facilitate the projects and client requirements.
- Current principles, practices, and techniques of contracting and QA/QC practices.
- Current supervisory principles and practices.
- Knowledge of International and local QA/QC standards.
- Skilled in planning, assigning, directing, and reviewing the QA/QC work of a professional staff and support staff.
