The role is responsible for implementing Warehouse Management System (WMS) projects with technical specialists and stakeholders. Accountable for maintaining and supporting Warehouse and logistics systems by designing technical and functional configurations and troubleshoot WMS issues.

Responsible for overseeing training for WMS and logistics users, identify and implement automation opportunities in the Warehouse.

• Ensure high availability of WMS
• Leads the implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS) projects in coordination with technical specialists and Business stakeholders
• Resolves all technical issues including interface and integration issues to ensure high support to Warehouse
• Develop and implement standard WMS operating procedures for Logistics Warehousing function
• Align ERP implementation related to Logistics processes, strategy, goals & policies
• Technical and Functional configuration design and WMS support & troubleshooting
• Provide coaching, guidance and systems training to the Logistics team on the ERP & WMS based Logistics processes
• Develop and standardize Logistics KPIs database for reporting and implement the same via BI platform
• Provide leadership and support in WMS implementation and changes across all target warehouses
• Support all key initiatives related to warehousing and logistics systems
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation within the WMS environment and implementing necessary changes.

• Minimum Qualification: University Degree in computer applications OR Equivalent Experience
• Minimum Experience:
• 7+ years of experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience on Manhattan WMS (Current WMS at AKI)

Job Specific

Project management

• Lead application development projects related to WMS
• Scope, plan, develop, organize, and manage WMS projects
• Analyse process risks and inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
• Maintain system and design documentation, and prepare materials for project reviews
• Lead analysis and resolution of business problems associated with IT systems
• Identify automation opportunities for process and system improvements

Technical and Functional support and guidance

• Supervise and guide the maintenance of WMS systems
• WMS Prod, QA DB Servers’ maintenance and troubleshooting
• Manage and resolve day to day operational WMS application related issues
• Support the Business users to test and implement any change on WMS
• Work with WMS vendor for testing and confirming any development updates
• Support WMS users on investigation on technical or process issues with the application
• Provide technical support for the Warehouse handheld devices, RF Guns, wireless printers, etc. including configuration, updates, and troubleshooting
