job title: project manager - dmt contract for cleaning services location: abu dhabi company: alphamed specialised project llc reports to: head of department job type: full-time job summary: the project manager will oversee the execution of a comprehensive cleaning and waste management contract with the department of municipalities and transport (dmt). this role involves managing teams and resources for services including street and tunnel washing, litter picking, and addressing illegal dumping activities. the ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, waste management, or environmental services, with proven experience in leading large-scale municipal contracts. key responsibilities: 1. project planning & execution: o develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely delivery of services as per the dmt contract. o oversee daily operations related to cleaning services, street and tunnel washing, litter picking, and illegal dumping. o coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure all contractual obligations are met. 2. team management: o lead, manage, and motivate a team of supervisors, cleaning staff, and drivers. o conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for team members. 3. quality control & compliance: o monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with dmt standards and regulations.o implement and oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety. o conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols. 4. client & stakeholder management: o serve as the primary point of contact for dmt officials and other stakeholders. o attend regular meetings with dmt representatives to report on project progress and address any concerns. o foster strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and contract renewal. 5. budget & resource management: o manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control. o oversee procurement and inventory management for cleaning supplies, equipment, and vehicles. o identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality. 6. reporting & documentation: o prepare and submit regular reports on project progress, financial performance, and operational issues. o maintain accurate records of all activities, incidents, and communications related to the project. 7. health, safety, & environmental compliance: o ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. o develop and implement safety protocols for all activities, including handling hazardous materials. o conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for emergency situations.qualifications: • bachelor's degree in environmental science, facilities management, engineering, or a related field. • minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the cleaning, waste management, or facilities management sectors. • proven experience managing large-scale contracts, preferably with government or municipal entities. • strong leadership and team management skills. • excellent communication and client management abilities. • proficient in project management software and tools. • knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to waste management and cleaning services. • valid driver's license. additional requirements: • flexibility to work outside regular business hours, including weekends and holidays, as required. • ability to respond to emergency situations promptly.
