JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title:Service Engineer
Reports to:Service Manager and Supervisor
Business Unit/ Department:Medlab
JOB PURPOSE:
Install and commission healthcare and lab equipment and provide service and maintenance, train staff and provide technical presentations on the equipment purchased in order to transfer product knowledge to the customers for appropriate functioning of the equipment.

  1. Coordinate between the sales department and customer to ensure customer is given the pre installation requirement and also to schedule complete installation of the equipment and provide timely feedback on the program of Installation and Commission.

  1. Attend break downs, preventive maintenances & hand over of the equipment’s at customer site to provide end-to-end post delivery services to the customers.
  • % Of breakdowns attended to on time
  1. Perform the proper safety test in all medical equipment’s according to manufacturer or hospital recommendation and to report any deviation.
  • % Of reported violation of safety standards
  1. Increase and maintain the uptime in order to provide continues and efficient performance of the expected equipment.
  • % Of uptime maintained
  1. Maintain the usage of spare parts and inventories with Supervisor and Service Manager in order to track utilization of the same.
  • Accuracy of updating spare parts & inventories
  1. Analyse, review and inspect the problem, recommend corrective action (repair or replacement) and communicate problem resolution with supervisor in order to expedite repairs and provide problem resolution with minimum downtime.
  • Number of problems resolved with minimum downtime
  • Number of re-occurrences
  1. Maintain performance reports of equipment, analyze technical problems in the reports to determine trends affecting future service and maintenance processes and recommend modifications to eliminate future problems
  • Quality analysis of reports

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Equivalent Experience

Minimum Experience: Over 3 years of experience
