JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Assistant Store Manager

Reports to: Brand Manager

Business Unit/Department: AKI Fashion

JOB PURPOSE: Lead by example and represent the company and brand by communicating its values though all activities and interactions with customers and other team members. Define, execute, and monitor the store action plan to achieve sales targets and KPIs. Manage the customer database to build strong relationships with customers and create future potential selling opportunities. Stay ahead of latest trends, products and competitors and share feedback with line manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for driving the store business.
  • Work towards achieving the store sales’ target, build a base of loyal VIP customers by recruiting and retaining them.
  • Manage the team and ensure full adherence to the brand’s guidelines and store processes.
  • Provide a clear vision to the team about the business and store’s vision and key directions.
  • Identify, develop, and retain strong talents.
  • Create a positive work environment based on trust, respect, and fairness.
  • Be the voice the employees when needed by sharing any of their feedback, challenges, and concerns with your line manager.
  • Ensure Performance improvement plans in a transparent manner.
  • Develop the omnichannel mindset among the team by constantly promoting the different touchpoints of the customer experience (physical and digital)
  • The client ling approach and techniques with a focus on VIPs, leveraging customer data proactively catering to their needs and preferences.
  • Recruit new clients and convert them into loyal VIP customers by providing them with excellent experience and constantly networking with them.
  • Ensure all operating standards are followed from stock replenishment to organizing displays as per brand’s VM guidelines.
  • Ensure healthy floor coverage by analyzing historical traffic data and anticipating peak hours.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution or equivalent preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience in leading fashion retail store in managerial role.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

Job Specific: Leadership and customer management abilities. Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of retail business management processes.

Generic skills: Problem Solving, Conflict Resolution, Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

FINANCIALS & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:

Financial Scope: Accountable for the store sales targets and agreed operational expenses.

Reporting Staff: In-store Team (Senior Sales Executive, Sales Executive, Storekeeper)

Decision-Making Authority: Approves in-store team vacation schedules and agreed store operation related expenses.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & COMMUNICATION:

  • Working Environment: In the store
  • Internal Relationship: Brand Manager, Sales Executives, Fashion back-office team, Retail Coordinator, Warehouse, HR, Finance, Audit, IT, Marketing, Procurement department.
  • External Relationships: Customers, Store Visitors
