JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Project Engineer
Reports to: Project coordinator / Technical Manager.
Business Unit/Department: Gulf Contracting and landscaping.
JOB PURPOSE:
AKI/GCL is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineer to join our team! The Construction Field Coordinator supports the delivery of the project by assisting and liaising with various subcontractors, procurement, and scheduling, communicating with the consultant and other stakeholders, ensuring on-time delivery of project plans.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist the project manager in the development of project management documents such as scope statements and project plans.
- Completion of basic design drawings, quantity calculations and as-built drawings for various types of work using various software packages (e.g. AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Collaborating with Designers to ensure accuracy of drawings.
- Liaises with designers and field staff to problem solve.
- Support the creation of CAD drawings from concept to final design.
- Assist in field surveys if necessary.
- Establish a working relationship with contractors, field staff and office staff.
- Prepare & design alignment, profiles, sections, corridors using AutoCAD /AutoCAD Civil3D
- Processing field data and computer-generated survey information
- Ensuring plans are in compliance with drawing standards and drafting requirements.
- Preparing pre-engineering, topographic plans
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 5+ years of experience in field construction is required.
