JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title:Van Sales Man
Reports to:Sales Supervisor
Business Unit/ Department:Consumer
JOB PURPOSE:
To implement Territory Promotion & Distribution plan which meets brand, volume and profit objectives for each trade channel through the most effective way in order to achieve National Trade Marketing and Distribution objectives.

  1. Implement a territory distribution plan which meets the objective of the area Shell Sales plan in the areas of brand, volume, merchandising and promotion.
  • % Achievement of Sales target
  1. Implementation of merchandising and promotion through the use of merchandiser’s in order to achieve account brand, volume and share objectives to ensure that the territory distribution objectives of company brands are achieved by trade channel and outlet type in order that availability is maximised in line with brand strategies and the needs of the market
  • Evaluation report
  • % Achievement of Sales target
  1. Establish close working relationships with the trade in order to gain high levels of trade support and loyalty whilst enhancing understanding of the trading environment
  • Quality of trade environment understanding and knowledge sharing
  1. Manage financial accounts and assets for the area to ensure that trade marketing resources are secure and used in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
  • Quality of ageing report tracking
  1. Provide trade marketing information and reports on performance and accounts to ensure that the area manager and the key account handlers are fully informed at all times
  • Market Feedback Results
  • Quality of Retail Audit data and knowledge sharing within the team.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

Minimum Qualification: 10+2 and or Graduate OR Equivalent Experience. Light duty ( manual) driving license is a must.

Minimum Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in field sales.
