JOB PURPOSE: As a Merchandiser, your primary responsibility is to translate the buying teams’ vision into tailored store-specific planograms aimed at achieving sales and productivity targets. This role demands keen attention to detail and a solid background in merchandising to consistently uphold exceptional in-store standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Utilize the assortment plan to create planograms that are cluster or store specific
- Analyze SKU productivity on planograms for assigned categories and provide recommendations that identify potential opportunities to improve sales and productivity of space
- Ensure all stock is merchandised and displayed according to standards
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the products in store
- Maintain an updated list of all branding elements, with exact dimensions for each product
- Collaborate closely with Replenishment Team to ensure that layouts reflect inventory levels
- Recognize and react to gaps in the assortment when completing planograms. Assist in solving store specific planogram and merchandising issues within established timeframes
- Regularly refresh and update displays to maintain visual interest
- Ensure that all displays are executed accurately and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATION:
- 1 -3 Years of Experience
- Space planning, field retail, merchandising, inventory management, or related role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced Excel
- Adobe creative suite
- JDA Space Planning or industry space planning software (SAS, Spaceman, Apollo)
