JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title:Security & Safety Supervisor
Reports to:General Manager
Business Unit/ Department:Logistics
JOB PURPOSE:

- Established and led the inception of a robust security department & provide support to safety

team in AKI within a dynamic logistic and supply chain organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
DescriptionKey Performance Indicators
1. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential security and safety risks within the operation and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • 100% Regular communication

2. Security Protocols: Establish and enforce security protocols and procedures to Monitor new shipments

transit incidents, facilities damages, surveillance for loss prevention, damage, and unauthorized access.

  • 100% Regular logging information incoming shipment transits report & other logs to be reflected in

monthly report

3. Incident Response: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses/unsafe acts & unsafe conditions to determine root causes and contributing factors, incident response plans to address emergencies such as accidents, security breaches, and natural

disasters, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • 100% compliance of incidents report & CAPA compliance from OPS team, incident investigation, learning from incidents, post

incident communication/TBT compliance

4. Surveillance and Monitoring: identify Gaps in existing facilities surveillance management oversee the installation and maintenance of security surveillance systems, tracking equipment, and access control mechanisms to monitor and manage facility activities.
  • Continual observation/monitoring & advise/communication to stakeholders for improvement & report to management on regular basis.
5. Compliance: Monitor and advise operation teams/DCM/Managers in each facility to comply with relevant industry regulations and standards, such as SIRA security regulations and Dubai Municipality/MCC/OSHAD.
  • Continual observation/monitoring & advise/communication to stakeholders for improvement & report to management on regular basis.

6. Training and Education: Supervise team to ensure ongoing training to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and security best practices, fostering a

culture of safety consciousness.

7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, operations, and human resources to integrate security and safety incidents investigation feedback & advise actions to be taken to prevent

recurrence

8. Auditing and Inspections: Supervise assistance/support QA team for ISO audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of security and safety measures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary

changes.

9. Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party

security vendors and service providers to ensure their services align with our security and safety objectives.

  • 100% contractual compliance

10. Monitoring and Surveillance: Supervise the operation of the security control room/Security operation center (SOC), overseeing the monitoring of surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems to ensure the safety

and security of facilities, assets, and personnel.

  • Continual observation/monitoring & advise stakeholders for improvement & report to management on regular basis.

11. Documentation: Manage team to maintain accurate records of security incidents, and compliance

documentation for internal reporting and regulatory purposes.

12. Emergency Preparedness: Supervise security/safety team to assist in emergency response plans, ensuring all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities

during crisis situations/participation in annual fire drill.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION
  • Minimum Qualification: Graduate or Equivalent Experience. + NEBOSH/Lead auditor
  • Minimum Experience:13 years Manager experience Security/loss prevention/Safety department
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
  • Job Specific: Good knowledge in Security/Safety elements and implementation
  • Generic Skills: Individual with good communication skill, High degree of Initiative and hardworking, Ownership and loyalty, High Leadership quality.

  • Financial Scope: subject to management approval
  • Reporting Staff: 27 outsource staff.
