Job Description :

Within the Commercial & Marketing department, he/she will assist the category manager-buyer in the management of his/her category and brand portfolio in all aspects of product lifecycle management, animation and also in interfaces with suppliers, internal customers and headquarters.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES ASSORTMENT MANAGEMENT ▪ Guarantees the coherence of the assortment lists of the category, follows the ranges, lists and updates them with new and delisted products taking into account sales and stock ▪ Communicates internally the information for the creation of the products in the respect of the launching dates and checks that the supply and commercial rules are respected ▪ Communicates assortment updates and promotional planning to operational teams and supply chain ▪ Monitors product performance (sales, orders, stocks, etc.) proposes products to be delisted according to turnover and products to be listed in agreement with the relevant category manager ▪ Sets up new skus, promotions and communicates these to stores.

 

PROMOTIONS & ANIMATIONS ▪ Maintain promotional calendar as negotiated by Catman and sets them up on the system ensuring timelines are adhered to. ▪ Prepares sales analysis and quantity recommendations (to be validated with the category manager and inventory planner) for annual marketing themes. ▪ Prepares the response to the marketing brief for the thematic and ensures that the brief and the schedule are respected. Work with the graphic design team to produce signage and display materials. ▪ Work with brands on production and delivery of GWP’s/POS materials. ▪ Share with the Category Manager / Buyer the elements necessary for the implementation of the internal activations and animations with brands.

 

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT ▪ Produces specific analyses on the commercial performance of his/her category (commercial operations, performance at the sub-category level, at the brand level, etc.) which will complete the basis of the analyses carried out by the Business Analyst. ▪ Manages pricing; Carry out market research to ensure prices remain competitive. ▪ Assists the Category Manager to regularly review sales performance within each brand, analyze consumer buying patterns and future trends. ▪ Prepares business reviews and purchasing plans with the Category Managers and the Business Analyst to ensure the follow-up of the Commercial Action Plan.
