Responsibilities:

• Set the strategic direction for the engineering department and ensure that it aligns with the company's overall goals.
• Manage the engineering budget and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Hire, train, and develop engineering staff.
• Oversee the engineering process from conception to deployment.
• Ensure that engineering projects meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that engineering projects are successful.
• Represent the engineering department to senior management and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 15+ to 18+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles in the automotive industry.
• Strong technical skills in a variety of engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with automotive regulations and standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engineering standards and procedures.
• Manage the engineering risk management process.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest engineering technologies and trends.
• Represent the company at engineering conferences and events.

Skills:

• Proficient in 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Experience with automotive design and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of automotive regulations and standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
