job description warehouse manager a. overview: we are seeking a highly organized and proactive warehouse manager with fmcg experience in designing warehouses, oversee the coordination and management of warehouse operations and to ensure the smooth supply of goods and produces across various properties within uae and internationally. the ideal candidate will be responsible for liaising with site warehouse managers, procurement team, and operations personnel to ensure efficient inventory management and seamless logistical operations. b. responsibilities: 1. warehouse operations management:  oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods across various properties.  design and implement, optimized warehouse infrastructure, standard operating procedures (sops) for inventory management, storage, and handling of goods to optimize efficiency and minimize errors.  maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits.  preparing weekly and/or monthly reports on goods received, dispatched, purchase order’s issued, item movement, demand forecast. 2. people management:  optimize organizational structure within the warehouse, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and aligned with business objectives.  develop and implement individual and departmental key performance indicators (kpis) aligned with organizational goals, focusing on metrics such as inventory turnover, order accuracy, warehouse utilization, and other relevant performance indicators.  regularly assess kpis to measure performance against targets, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.  monitor and evaluate individual performance within the warehouse team, providing feedback, coaching, and support to maximize productivity and efficiency.  lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure a high level of performance and professional development.  plan and manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for warehouse operations, adjusting schedules as needed to meet fluctuations in workload or demand.  promote diversity and inclusion within the warehouse workforce, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees. 3. cross-property liaison: 1 | p age serve as the primary point of contact between the central warehouse and site warehouse managers at different properties.  coordinate with site warehouse managers to ensure timely delivery and distribution of goods, addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise.  collaborate with procurement teams to forecast inventory needs and facilitate the procurement process for each property. 4. communication and collaboration:  facilitate effective communication and collaboration between warehouse, procurement, and operations teams to streamline processes and resolve any warehouse operational challenges.  regularly communicate with property management and operations teams to understand their specific requirements and address any warehouse-related concerns or requests. 5. performance monitoring and improvement:  monitor key performance indicators (kpis) such as inventory turnover, order accuracy, and warehouse utilization to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.  continuously seek opportunities to optimize warehouse processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency across properties. 6. compliance and safety:  ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, to maintain a safe working environment for warehouse staff and visitors.  conduct regular safety inspections and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards and risks within the warehouse. c. qualifications:  bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.  proven 15 years’ experience in warehouse management or logistics, with a focus on multi-site operations.  strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehouse best practices, and supply chain processes.  excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.  proficiency in warehouse management software and microsoft office applications.  demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.  attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 2 | p age
