Job Title: Airfield & Civils Maintenance Engineer

 

Department: Assets & Facilities Management / Engineering & Facilities Management

 

Job Purpose: Airfield & Civils Maintenance Engineer contributes through the pro-active and effective day-to-day administration and coordination of contracted services providers, to ensure compliance of Airfield Civil assets managed by the Facility Manager resources to meet availability and service level expectations of the Client, the Facility Manager and its customers, across all sites, to ensure compliance to all General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) requirements

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

Leadership 

 Manage self and service providers to comply with all Facility Manager, and relevant client, policies and procedures to ensure airfield compliance to GCAA regulations. 

 Work collaboratively with wider Facility Manager Team members and champion the ethos of best practice value assured. 

 Demonstrate the highest possible standards of leadership in the promotion of Health, Safety and Environment.  Any other duties that may be assigned by the Airfield & Civils Maintenance Senior Manager or the reporting Director. Services Delivery 

 Manage, monitor and evaluate the contracted services and asset performance, compliance and availability of the Client’s assets, across the client’s five airports. 

 observing and reporting technical and safety performance of services being supplied by service providers to the Facility Manager and the Client, 

 Support the production of core Asset Management procedures and standards, 

 Review plans, prepare and review technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates; 

 Present maintenance work plans to client stakeholder boards to ensure the airfield civil assets are GCAA compliant at all times. 

 Carry out Airfield inspections on assets under role responsibility and maintain accurate auditable records. 

 Particpate in both internal and external audits relateted to the management of the airfield civil assets 

 Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings documented and that contract obligation concerning notifications etc. are adhered to;

Monitor and assist in managing assets and/or services from acquisition/mobilization through to disposal/demobilization; 

 Planning and supervising major asset and services maintenance requirements, including outages, to minimize operational disruption. 

 Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and make recommendations for innovation, performance, value and efficiency improvements, 

 Effectively coordinate and monitor services provided by subcontractors for the Client, including carrying out regular technical and safety observations, in a 24/7 operation, 

 Escalate any issues or concerns as required, 

 Prepare and deliver technical presentations; 

 Maintain key relationship activities within the internal and external stakeholders for the successful delivery of project planning and program delivery.

 

Knowledge 

 Property and Facilities Management; 

 Airfield Civil Maintenance (Essential) 

 GCAA Technical knowledge (Essential) 

 Contract management; 

 Asset Lifecycle Planning and Scheduling; 

 Primary Contractor service provision; 

 Change and cost/value management 

 Technical - Conversant with Airfield Pavements, structures, roads and tunnels.

 Deliver to asset availability targets, PPM and Response targets 

 Technical and Safety compliance assessments of contractor services for the client and Sinyar. 

 Develop and implement annual personal, team, value improvement and innovation objectives for the team and the Hard Services supply chain

 

Job Challenges

 Mix of new and existing assets, data availability and condition 

 Effective communications with ADAC operations, multiple contractors and project teams 

 Manage the relationships with key Client departments and subcontractors to ensure the Facilities Manager can effectively manage the assets and monitor and report the performance of assets and FM services 

si Support the goal to establish and maintain asset management in line with ISO standards, including ISO 55001, to deliver at highest level in the UAE market, whilst assuring value to the client
